In recent years, the occurrence of some violent and terrorist incidents has greatly promoted the development and research of various types of personal protective equipment. Weft free fabric, also known as unidirectional fabric or UD fabric, is a sheet made by arranging fibers in a unidirectional parallel manner and bonding them with adhesive. At the same time, the unidirectional fiber fabric is crossed between 0°/90° layers, and then bonded and pressed with adhesive.
Aramid UD fabric is specifically designed for soft impact resistant clothing. The common specifications is 220 grams per square meter, 1.6 meters wide, and 3.2 meters long. The surface is smooth and flexible, and the quality is good. Compared with woven fabrics, weft free fabrics are more conducive to quickly spreading the instantaneous shock wave, producing a synergistic impact resistance effect, and their impact resistance performance is significantly better than other forms of fabrics.
