The black outer carrier vest Front and Back panels have separate internal compartments for each of the four internal Level IIIA  panels included in this combo.
 

Certified under NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA Standards. Capable of stopping .44 Magnum and .357 Magnum bullet, with maximum backface deformation of 44 mm.
 

This carrier vest and panels combo includes four separate Level IIIA panels. The Front and Rear panels extend to each side for more coverage and the two separate Side panels that overlap the Front and Rear  panels for more side coverage.

 

 

NIJ Level IIIA (3A) is typically the highest level of protection for soft .It will protect you from a BB gun to a .44 magnum. 

What bullets can this vest protect against?
A Class IIIA vest can protect against almost all handgun rounds. NIJ IIIA vests are tested with bullets up to a .44 Magnum, which is a really powerful round. This vest will protect against smaller rounds as well. We are quite comfortable in saying that a class IIIA vest will protect you from almost any handgun you will encounter and certainly any handgun that someone conceals. Handgun violence makes up most of the shooting injuries in the US, so this vest offers a great level of protection for you.

What won't it protect against?
 No vest will protect against every bullet, and a IIIA vest won't protect against heavy bullet fire without added plates. That is why we have another model that with plate pockets and we sell protective plates as well, just in case that you need to upgrade.

Features of Black Outer Carrier Vest 

• Protective panels are constructed of Polyethylene (PE) creating a lightweight panels.
• Black outer carrier vest is made with PE fabrics.
• Flexible soft panel design allows the panel to conform to body shape.
• Each of the panels are fully sealed to protect against liquids, chemicals, and other harsh elements.
• On the outside of the carrier vest Front and Back panels each have a 10.5" W X 12.0" external pocket with a hook and loop flap for adding external up-level protective plate (not included).
• The shoulders each have a triple flap hook and loop strap system, for adjusting how high/low the vest sits on the wearer.
• The Back panel has the two integrate Side panels that wraps around both sides of the wearer and secures to the front panel via hook and loop fasteners.
